Consultation about Guaranteed Minimum Pension

We wrote to some Manweb pension members on 18 September 2024 to say that, following a High Court ruling and a change to pensions law, we have to check a part of their pension known as Guaranteed Minimum Pension (GMP). This is to make sure that men and women are being treated equally. As a result of these checks, some members could see a small increase in their pension. No one’s pension value will go down.

Our letter also explained that, once we have completed those checks, we will consult about converting Guaranteed Minimum Pension (GMP). We only wrote to members who have GMP as part of their pension.
